Overview of the Ads view

The Ads view is the ad level reporting section of Qwaya. This section focuses on detailed reporting and has several features enhancing the statistical and reporting capabilities. In the Ads view you can edit the bid types and max bid on published ads.

In this article we will go through:

1. Sidebar

All your published campaigns will be listed in the left hand sidebar. You can select to see your active or paused campaigns. If you select “Show active campaigns” you will only see your campaigns with active or automated ad sets, the rest will be hidden.
Once you select the box next to the campaign name the ads in the campaigns and its ad sets will be displayed in the main grid in the Ads view. You can also see if the ads are paused or activated thanks to the status icons next.

2. Canned reports

You can generate default reports with the help of our predefined reports. The predefined reports give you a quick overview of the most common parameters to analyse the performance of your campaigns and you can use them when creating your own reports.

You will find the canned reports by clicking on the Basic Statistics drop down menu. If you select the last option, My custom, you can create your own canned report.

To add your preferred metrics please select the metrics in Columns drop-down.

To reset the view simply click on “Reset Views”. Please note that you will reset all your views.

3. Play, pause or delete the ads

The status of an ad (active, paused, or ad set paused) is indicated by the icon in the status column. Pause or activate an ad by selecting it and then clicking the buttons in the top toolbar.

4. Hide and show details

Next to the statistical reports button you can find have a show or hide details button. By clicking on this button you will be able to get a preview of the ad and the target audience.

5. Columns

Each column in this section can be set manually for your personal reporting preferences. In order to change reporting columns manually, use the list options drop down menu button.

The more columns you choose to see the more information you will receive. If you use conversion tracking (goal or ecommerce tracking from Google analytic) select all columns in the Google Analytics drop down menu. Goals (for Google analytics goals), Transactions (for Google analytics orders) or Revenue (for Google analytics order value).

6. Date range

The date ranges used for your reports are set with the date range button. You can choose to look at the most common date ranges with our default ranges.You can also customise the date ranges with the custom mode.

7. The Bottom Toolbar

In the bottom toolbar you can look at graphs and edit the ads.edit-ads-october-2013
You have five different tabs in the bottom panel:

  1. Graphs
  2. Targeting
  3. Creative
  4. Bidding
  5. Tracking

The bottom panel opens up automatically once you select one of the ads. You can also maximize the bottom panel with the window maximize icon.


1. Graphs

The best way to study trends is with graphs. You can select one ad and get detailed information about each ad with three different metrics or select several ads and compare their performance between each other. You can also select many ads and combine them to one graph to study up to three different metrics of the combined ads.
