Facebook’s Business Manager and your Qwaya account

On October 1st Facebook is deprecating gray accounts (also known as business accounts). This means that all advertisers using these accounts need to move their accounts to Facebook’s Business Manager.

Business Manager is a tool to help businesses and agencies organise and manage their Facebook Pages, Ad accounts and Apps in one place. Facebook’s Business Manager will also make it possible for you to give your employees different permissions and access to Ad accounts and Pages.

In Business Manager, you will be able to assign different roles:
  • As a Business admin you will have increased control since you can clearly see who has access to your Pages and Ad accounts and also change their permissions.
  • As a Business employee it will makes it easier for you to keep work separate from your personal Facebook profile since you don’t need to be friends with anyone from work to get access to Pages and ad Accounts.
You will also be able to assign different roles for Pages and Ad accounts. If you want to learn more about these roles please visit Facebook.
All information regarding your Ad accounts and Pages that you manage will be sent to your work email and not your personal Facebook profile email address.
In Facebook’s help center you can learn more about how to get started with the Business Manager.

How a migration to the Business Manager will affect your Qwaya account

If you have a gray account connected to your Qwaya account you’ll need to remove the gray account and connect the Facebook user account you’ve set up in Business Manager. You’ll change the Facebook user account(s) in Facebook Connections.

Removing a Facebook user will not affect the data and the templates you have saved for the ad accounts. When you have connected the new Facebook user account and you can see your ad account(s) in the Qwaya dashboard, you will be able to access all your templates and data.

In Qwaya you will be able to see all the Ad accounts, Pages and Apps that the Facebook user you have connected to Qwaya has access to.
